Description Taylors are a founding member of Australia’s First Family of Wines and are “managing to do for the Clare Valley what Peter Lehmann did for the Barossa” with “a rich haul of Trophies and Golds at all price points” (Halliday). Bill Taylor, grandfather of the current custodian, Mitchell, first set foot on the estate on the same day that Neil Armstrong first set foot on the moon, in 1969. Three generations later, Taylors has a worldwide reputation for excellence. They've also been voted one of the Top 5 Wineries in the World (for the fourth successive year). The award comes from the World Association of Writers and Journalists of Wines and Spirits (WAWWJ) who combine the results of the top 75 International Wine contests across five continents. In fact, in 2018 the estate was rated the ‘No. 1 Most Awarded Winery in the World’ by this body. Look forward to subtle aromas of cedar and dark chocolate, great intensity with distinctive blackcurrant and cassis fruit flavours. The palate is well balanced, complex and fulfilling and lingers on the finish.
