Description From vineyards in Orange grown at 950 metres above sea level. Parcels are harvested a week apart to assist in the search for complexity. The wine is then aged in high quality French barriques. Ned Goodwin MW in The Halliday Wine Companion notes there is "plenty of verve". There is much to enjoy here. "Cherries to the fore with spices, cold tea notes, red fruits and some quality oak well melded. The intensity is maintained for the full length of the wine. Plenty of tannins here, but they are sleek and silky. A really attractive cooler climate Pinot, which should provide pleasure for the next eight to ten years" (Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot).
