Description Plantagenet are one of the best value wineries in Western Australia, if not Australia. They're situated in the state's Great Southern wine region, where Shiraz and Riesling reign supreme. Unlike the Margaret River, where high exposure and demand have seen a steady increase in prices over the years, Great Southern has somewhat gone under the radar and, as a result, their wines offer fantastic value. Named for Lionel Samson, the grandfather of Plantagenet wines, this Shiraz is inky and full bodied with blueberry, mint and spice on the nose. Complex flavours on the palate include berry fruits, smoky oak and white pepper.
