Description The fruit for this wine was grown in two sites, both managed under the SWA Accreditation for Sustainability, in McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. In both, the maritime influence that lengthens ripening periods leading into harvest, especially suits the production of high-calibre Sangiovese. Typical dark cherry, cranberry, and a hint of leather aromas roll into spice, violets and raspberry cola like flavours. The classic savoury tannins of the variety are spliced with fresh tingling acid, likely the result of partial whole bunches in the ferment, and add to the wine’s complexity and allure. A medium bodied wine, particularly well-suited to a plate of cheese, before or after a bowl of tomato-based pasta. Drink anytime over the next 4-6 years
