Description Ripe, classy Cabernt with scores of 92 and 94pts. Sam Kim, Wine Orbit calls it: "Wonderfully ripe and enticing, the wine shows blackberry, spicy oak, clove and rich floral aromas on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate that's juicy and refined. A gorgeously styled shiraz with seductive complexity, making it highly enjoyable. 94pts" Tyson Stelzer approves of its "Full ripeness and generous new oak" enjoying its "Spicy, ripe blueberry, blackberry and black plum... and classy new French oak" and gives it 92pts in the Halliday Wine Companion. Located in High Eden, a sub-region of the Barossa, approximately 550 metres above sea level, Mountadam was originally established in 1972 by the late David Wynn for his winemaking son Adam. Since 2005, it has returned to being a family owned and run winery, with David and Jenni Brown overseeing its success.
