Description Marlborough's Forrest Estate was founded in 1988, one of the first in the region. That was by two doctors – John and Brigid. Both very scientifically grounded, they have over the years pioneered many things. Here they offer a true Marlborough classic – aromatic and intense Sauvignon. John has been the winemaker from the start, while his daughter Beth, after a stint abroad, is now taking up the reins in the cellar. John's experimentation continues, nonetheless, a great scientist winemaker with an insatiable curiousity! This Sauvignon is grown on the Greywacke stones of the old riverbed. You can taste that minerality – and the freshness and fruit quality, not to mention the sheer drinking pleasure on show in every sip.
