Description De Bortoli estate in the Yarra Valley is run by the husband-and-wife team of Leanne De Bortoli and Steve Webber, but owned by the De Bortoli family. Their Section A5 Chardonnay has scored big - between 94-96pts in the Halliday Wine Companion – for virtually all vintage releases over the past 10 years. "From an elevated 1976-planted site in Dixon's Creek. A medium deep and bright green gold. An interesting contrast to the A7 Chardonnay, also from Dixon's Creek, this has a little more of everything. Stone and orchard fruits, marine scents and a little matchstick can all be found on the nose, while the palate is simultaneously textured, layered and structured...
