Description Château Vieira is a beautiful, 19th-century estate, with extensive vineyards in the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur. The original owner was a Portuguese aristocrat, who built the palace for his favourite mistress! Today the family owners work their vineyards using sustainable methods that align with their HVE3 status. Unusually for this part of Bordeaux, the largest share of the vineyard grows Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot playing second fiddle, plus a little Malbec. 2014 was a good vintage, that has been slow to develop, which makes it all the more interesting and complex to sip. Now ten years old, this silky mature claret will make a fine partner to game dishes, roast chicken or even a meaty fish like seared tuna.
