Description Altos de Bergasa is from Bodegas La Eralta, a family-owned winery founded in 1990. Quite young in terms of Rioja. It proudly owns 360 hectares of vineyard throughout the three subregions, with this juicy Joven (young) red named after its first plots, planted in the village of Bergasa. At their modern cellars, they boast 10,000 French and American oak barrels, within which they age their wines – from Crianza to their exceptional Gran Reservas. This wine, however, is designed for drinking young and fruity. Offering silky red fruits, with a tangy lift of freshness, it makes delicious drinking on its own, or with chicken – barbecued, roasted or as a creamy casserole – with risotto, as well as with other more classic Spanish rice dishes. Locals love it, and we're sure you will too.
