Description Our Buyer, Jean-Marc, is passionate about Spanish wines and Hemingway’s novels. And he's certain Ernest Hemingway would have loved Alta Sada Garnacha - it's just the sort of wine he'd have chosen to drink in the bars of Pamplona. Jean-Marc ventured to one of NE Spain’s wildest wine regions to discover the ancient Garnacha vineyard behind this weighty red. There the average age of the vines is 70 years and some are a century old. Bodega de Sada winery is hardly known abroad yet makes amazing wines, thanks in part to winemaker María Eransus, who worked for years with the legendary Telmo Rodríguez – a top name in Spain. Packed with intense raspberry and cracked pepper flavours, Alta Sada is a perfect choice with chorizo and chickpea casserole.
