Description
Elegant and inviting, nicely balanced 90pt Chardonnay from Margaret River. and the Risky Business wine company. The name Risky Business is decidedly tongue-in-cheek because the partnership headed by Rob Quenby has neatly side-stepped any semblance of risk. The grapes come from vineyards in Great Southern and Margaret River in WA and King Valley in Victoria.
Sam Kim Wine Orbit calls this 2024 Chardonnay: "Youthful and elegant, the wine shows ripe nectarine, rockmelon, and hazelnut aromas on the nose with a hint of vanilla. The palate displays good weight, fine flow and bright acidity, making it harmonious and smooth with a lengthy, tasty finish."
"Nothing risky here!" wrote John Lehmann in the The Australian about the previous vintage, "...stone fruits and white peach aromas with a dash of vanilla, leading to a rich, creamy palate, with a hint of toasty biscuits".
