Description
95pt, Gold rosé from Orange and the outstanding Mercer. "Another reliable and consistently in-demand wine from Mercer. It has the textural grip of watermelon rind coupled with white strawberries and cranberries, with a hint of orange oil, making for a wine that you want to drink on all occasions. Dry, lively and vivid with Pink Lady apples and zesty citrus. A bottle you put on the table and it's the first to go. Great value, great vibes. 95pt." (Shanteh Wale, The Halliday Wine Companion).
Aaron Mercer spent years at Tamburlaine, and had stints at Tyrrell’s and Brokenwood, before setting up on his own. More than a quarter-century after Mercer first started crafting wine, the Hunter Valley-born vigneron recently won Rising Star of the Year at The Real Review awards, and has been nominated for Halliday’s Dark Horse Winery of the Year 2027. He’s also worked in California, France and Germany so brings a great deal of experience to his winemaking, with a great small-batch range from premium Hunter Valley sites, Tumbarumba and Orange.
