Description
Another impressive release from Loom Wines. This silky yet vibrant Pinot Noir comes from well-sited vines in Adelaide Hills, and is crafted by experienced and dynamic winemaker Steve Grimley.
This is, in Steve's words, "Dark, brooding and warmed spices layer into some classic Pinot aromatics, forest floor sort of thing. The front of the palate is more generous than previous vintages, the season was warmer and the fruit a touch riper. It's a super easy and welcoming drink, more on a dry red profile than of some of the more traditional interpretations."
Fruit was sourced from the K1 Vineyard, hand picked, delivered to the winery in half tonne bins before being destemmed and open fermented with high % of whole berries for a week or so. It spends 6-8 month sin older French oak.
