Lovely elegant and exclusive Sauvignon from the high-altitude vineyards of 5-Star-rated Peter Logan’s estate in the region of Orange – some of the highest altitude vineyards in Australia.
The grapes are grown at an elevation of greater than 900 metres on the slopes of Mount Canobolas in Orange. Peter Logan’s Sauvignon is a very pale golden colour, and he coaxed vibrant aromas of guava, meyer lemon, sage and white flowers, backed up by a gently textured palate with generous lashings of ripe passionfruit, lime and pink grapefruit.
Owner and head winemaker Peter Logan majored in biology and chemistry and became a chemist – but "In a reversal of the usual roles, his father encouraged him to change careers and Peter obtained a graduate diploma in oenology from the University of Adelaide in '96." (James Halliday).
