Description
Relish a silky, mellifluous Pinot Meunier from the remote Victorian region of Henty. Given an impressive 94pts in the Halliday Wine Companion.
“A light, bright cherry red. A subtle and attractive bouquet featuring aromas of spiced cherries, redcurrants, light spice and a little blood orange. The medium-bodied palate flow, with gently sinewy, persistent tannins and good acidity, mellifluously giving the wine its shape and structure. This will continue to become more complex over the next, at least 3–4 years. 94pts” (Philip Rich, The Halliday Wine Companion).
“Dr John Gladstones names the Henty GI the coolest climate in Australia, cooler than Tasmania and the Macedon Ranges… " however, this does mean "…this region is capable of producing Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of the highest quality.” (Halliday)
