Description
93pt cool-climate Victorian Shiraz – "Attractively styled and expressed" and "offers fabulous drinking." (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit). Made by Victoria's very well respected Rob Dolan,
“A medium-bodied example of a cooler climate Shiraz from the Plenty region just out of Melbourne. Loaded with dark cherry, and ripe plum with a subtle chocolate and spicy nuance adding complexity. The palate has a slightly liqueur texture which is balanced by the spicy bay leaf and a touch of black olive. Smooth and seamless with a dry savoury, slightly minerally finish.” 93pt (Ray Jordan, WinePilot).
For John Lehmann writing in The Australian, it's: "A lovely example of cool-climate shiraz, the fruit of plum and cranberry on the nose nestling in notes of bramble, dried herbs and charcuterie. There’s peppery spice and more berries in the mouth, with fine tannins and a juicy acidity delivering a silky texture and a leisurely, long finish."
