Description
Irvine's Spring Hill range is always good value. This fresh Riesling from the Eden Valley a perfect example. It does make excellent Spring/summer drinking, and it boasts many high scores up to 96pts.
For Shanteh Wale, WinePilot it is: "“Excellent value here and a wine that screams Eden Valley with small orchard apples, backyard lemons and Frangipani flowers. This is pretty as a picture but has some weight and power behind the beguiling nose. Steep acidity is balanced by some delicate gauze of grape skin texture, some whisper of musk and lime sorbet. Bone dry and a wine that is equally sippable on its own or ideal with breakfast omelettes or quiche. 93pts"
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit finds it: "“Pristine and delicately aromatic, the inviting bouquet shows white-fleshed nectarine, lemon sorbet, and white flower aromas, followed by a finely textured palate that’s juicy and sleek. Splendidly supported by fine acidity, making it beautifully structured and persistent. 92pts” >/p>
"Fresh and clean with lemon sherbet and lime zest notes along with a hint of oyster shell. Good length, well balanced from entry to finish. A fresh and easy drinking style. 90pts.” (Stuart Knox, The Real Review).
