A concentrated, fragrant, seductive, 96pt Adelaide Hills Chardonnay.… "From a single site, and the best fruit from that plot. Cool, lithe style, fragrant, tense on the palate if not a touch racy, with a slick of oak seasoning over it all. Green apple, green pineapple, some nectarine and green melon form the backbone of the wine. Around that are slippery, tinned corn juice characters, some tinned pineapple notes and woody, sweet spice. There's a floral note through it all, too. It has a good load of flavour and character, but needs time to find balance of elements and surpass oak insinuation. 92pts" (Mike Bennie, The Halliday Wine Companion).
