John Lehmann, in The Australian also comments on its "Leaner, clean style." and enjoys its: "Fresh rockmelon and citrus aromas and flavours, with hints of yellow nectarine, along with vanilla nougat, almonds and sea spray. Fermented and matured in French oak for 11 months but the oak influence is delicate and subtle". Mike Kerrigan, former winemaker at Howard Park, acquired Hay Shed Hill in late '06 (with co-ownership by the West Cape Howe syndicate).
