This is a 30th Anniversary Special Edition to celebrate three decades of Bill Calabria and family making delicious popular wines for customers at his Westend Estate, Back in the day, Bill was a very promising middleweight boxer. But his sporting career gave way to winemaking in the family business set up when his parents emigrated from Italy to Australia. Bill eventually took over their Westend Estate and has been making very punchy reds ever since. His estate is ranked 5 Stars and he has received an Order of Australia along the way. This is packed with ripe berry flavours, gentle spice notes and creamy oak following maturation in US oak barrels. Big and bold, yes, but The Boxer is also very light on its feet, making it very easy to enjoy solo, or alongside lasagne or char-grilled steak.
