For Rex Mundi, Hervé uses intense Shiraz and Grenache grapes grown on the craggy hillsides of the Languedoc-Roussillon. Warm sunshine and cooling Mediterranean breezes help grapes ripen to perfection, bringing great freshness and depth of flavour.
Looming over the vineyards, ancient castle ruins are perched on rocky peaks – ancient strongholds that were once home to medieval Cathars who feared the evil god Rex Mundi (‘King of the World’).
He corrupted the faithful with promises of earthly pleasures and the forbidden delights of mortal flesh. Indulge in deep plum and black cherry flavours lashed with spice and a long, smooth finish.
