Description The hugely popular Black Pig family from McLaren Vale continues to grow with the arrival of this – a very welcome, delicious and luxurious newcomer to the family – a dark and savoury Reserve Mataro! In Spain it's known as Monastrell, in the Rhône it's called Mourvèdre, and wherever it grows it is usually used as a savoury component in blends, especially as the M component in GSMs. However, although rare, there are fantastic examples of it being vinified solo as here, and as this illustrates the results can be absolutely delicious.
