Description Crafted by the great Kevin Mitchell at Kilikanoon, who is famous for his outstanding Shiraz. His wines have regularly achieved a huge 98 points from Robert Parker and his top Shiraz sells for over $500 a bottle! Baroota is a 'special project' red, grapes selected from a number of top, early ripening vineyards between premium areas Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges. Vinified in small batches. This 2020 vintage has won another Gold (Double Gold in fact) for Kevin. "Concentrated, bold and lively in the mouth, coating its fiery range with a touch of sweetness. Grainy tannins, long sunny finish." (International Challenge Gilbert & Gaillard). Enjoy aromas of blackberry with a sweet oak and vanilla lift, plus highlights of spice and eucalyptus. The intense, warming palate is loaded with dense black fruit, and smooth tannins carry the Shiraz to a delightfully long rich finish. It’s best decanted, then served with a rib eye steak or roasted eggplant.

South Australia

The South Australian wine industry is responsible for more than half the production of all Australian wine. South Australia is a vast area with a great diversity in geography, allowing the state to produce a wide range of grape varieties from cool-climate Riesling in the Clare Valley to big, full-bodied Shiraz of the Barossa Valley. Some of Australia's most famous wines like Penfolds Grange, Jacob's Creek, Yalumba and Henschke Hill of Grace are produced here.
