Description
Enjoy silky, red berries, clove and some mushroom savoury characters in this fine Adelaide Hills Pinot from Elena Brooks' Heirloom Vineyards.
"It's sweetly fruited and fragrant on the nose with aromas of dark plum, wild strawberry, thyme, clove, and nutmeg. The palate delivers a silky flow and a supple mouthfeel, beautifully framed by layers of fine tannins, making it sturdy yet velvety to the finish. 94pts" (Sam KIm, Wine Orbit).
This Pinot Noir was produced from the fine Adelaide Hills Vineyard in Kersbrook where clones and viticulture embody the very best in cutting edge but old school viticulture and winemaking. Hand tended vines, sorted bunch-by-bunch, naturally open fermented, basket-pressed and stored in well seasoned first-use French oak barriques from bespoke coopers. This wine is 50% whole bunch and is aged in 2nd and 3rd use French oak barriques from bespoke coopers for 7 months.
