Description
“Pure and enchanting" (Halliday) multi-Gold, 95pt and Great Value Eden Valley Riesling. A triumph from Dandelion Vineyards' brilliant Elena Brooks
“Pure and enchanting, there seems to be a little more concentration with this release, the freshly squeezed lime and Bickford's tones carrying a little more weight and perhaps a little more nuance as well. Hints of honeysuckle, citrus blossom, dried honey, crushed stone and almond paste. There's a nice squeak of grapefruit pith texture in the mix too, sapid, lacy acidity and a touch of green apple to the finish, long and dry, as is the norm with this wine. 95pts, Great Value” (Dave Brookes, The Halliday Wine Companion).
John Lehmann in The Australian urges you to: "Hold on to your hats – there’s so much going on from first sniff, as you breath in notes of gooseberry, sherbet, jasmine, honey and citrus in a way that just makes sense. In the mouth we’re getting sweet lemon, lemon sherbet lollies and honey – the acidity is crisp and refreshing, more or less screaming “aperitif”, especially at... 11.5% alc,!"
