Description 5 Red Star Angove is one of Australia's oldest family owned wineries, founded in 1886. They have access to some of the finest fruit in the 'big red' regions of South Australia's Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. This Limited Release Shiraz has been carefully crafted from grapes grown in blocks in the Stockwell area to the north of the Barossa region, Bethany in the south and Angaston to the east. Upon arriving at Angove's 110-year-old winery, the Shiraz grapes were gently destemmed and placed in small open fermenters. The wine was carefully plunged and pumped over twice daily to coax colour and flavour from the skins. The resulting Shiraz reflects Angove's philosophy of letting the Barossa Valley soils and environment express themselves through the wine (with some subtle American oak characters too!).This Barossa beauty is powerfully rich, plush, velvety and intense... serve it with your finest cuts of meat.
